A low-angle close-up view, zooming in with a claustrophobic intensity on a girl dressed as a jester. She leans her face forward, dominating the frame, her head tilted slightly with an unsettling, wide-open grin. Her skin is covered in thick, chalk-white face paint that is cracked around the edges, with a smeared crimson paint extending the corners of her mouth into a grotesque smile and a smudged black diamond painted over her left eye. She wears a three-pointed jester's hood of mottled crimson and black diamonds; the curled tips of the hood hang low, with small brass bells that remain frozen in mid-air. One gloved hand is thrust forward, fingers splayed and reaching toward the viewer's face, the fabric of the glove taut over the knuckles. The only light source is a harsh, cold spotlight from above, casting deep, cavernous shadows in her eye sockets and beneath the flared edges of her hood. The palette is limited to oppressive blacks, blood-reds, and a sterile, dead white. The darkness of the void behind her is absolute, making her pale face pop with a jarring, manic energy. sinister dread.
