Tragic Strawberry Cake Moment with Hiyori

I just had to draw Hiyori from Blue Archive looking absolutely devastated over her ruined strawberry cake—it honestly breaks my heart seeing her so sad, yet she looks so adorable! I really hope this piece captures the dramatic tragedy of the moment. If you enjoyed this, please leave a like and follow for more art, and let me know in the comments if you'd like to see her finally get to eat a cake in one piece!

Her long aqua hair spills chaotically across the ground in tangled ribbons, the side ponytail flattened under her shoulder while bangs fall across one side of her face, pinned by a small cross hair ornament. Her oversized jacket slips down over one bare shoulder as her trembling arms splay outward, fingertips digging into the gritty street surface. Her head is turned sideways, face pinned to the ground as her wide, horrified aqua eyes—brimming with panic and pooling tears—stare in frozen disbelief at the catastrophe mere inches from her nose. Directly before her, the collapsed bakery box lies crushed and torn, its paperboard panels actively engulfed in hungry orange flames. The dropped birthday cake is completely obliterated across the asphalt, broken yellow sponge layers and smashed red strawberries mashed into smeared mounds of white cream. The burning cardboard serves as the primary light source, throwing dynamic, flickering amber light across her tear-stained face, wide-open gasping mouth, and hair strands, while casting long, sharp shadows back along the dark pavement. The intense heat of the fire liquefies the nearest dollops of whipped cream into a glossy puddle running along the pavement seams, and charred black edges of the box crumble into glowing embers. Despairing shock.
