Inside, a young woman sits fully clothed upon a traditional white porcelain squat toilet embedded flush into the aged square tile floor, completely oblivious to the viewer and utterly relaxed in rare solitude. Her posture settles in total relief: her shoulders hang completely slack, and her hands rest loosely in her lap within the deep, flowing fabric of her wide kimono sleeves. Her head lolls slightly to one side; long hair with bold streaks of black and deep purple spills forward over her chest, framed by soft bangs between her eyes and a neat hair ornament. Her purple eyes are half-closed in a lazy, peaceful gaze directed absently at the opposite floor, her expression tranquil and untroubled. Her traditional kimono remains worn completely as normal, properly wrapped and cinched, its long hem and wide sleeves pooling softly over her knees and against the cool glazed porcelain fixture. Overhead, a single fluorescent tube casts a cool, greenish atmospheric glow across the pale ceramic tiles and her relaxed silhouette, while a faint amber-and-lavender dusk glow seeps through a high, rectangular frosted glass window above, crossing the green illumination into soft, tinted shadows. A crisp specular sheen reflects along the raised curved rim of the toilet, revealing the slick ceramic glaze under the dual light sources. A fine layer of film grain settles over the shadows. Peaceful solitude.
