The subject sits reclined slightly in a deep black leather barber chair, her body draped in a slick, dark charcoal nylon barber cape fastened securely around her throat with the collar turned neatly inward. Her head is completely unadorned and bare, with no hat or headwear of any kind, fully exposing her scalp and voluminous mane. One half of her head has been sheared short into an even, velvety blue buzz cut, revealing the smooth pale blue skin and delicate contours of her ear and temple; the remaining half billows with dense, immensely thick, heavy wavy blue hair with individually defined, lustrous locks. At the crown where the two textures meet, an electric hair clipper plows smoothly through the thick boundary, its silver steel teeth buzzing right through the dense volume and cleaving off a heavy, thick swathe of locks. Jagged, vibrating sound effect lettering reads "BZZZZ" right beside the humming blade, with freshly severed clumps of blue hair tumbling in mid-air down toward the slick surface of the draped cape. Her head tilts gently under the pressure of the cut; her gaze is glazed and distant, half-lidded eyes hazy with a tranquil, breathless daze. Her lips rest parted in a faint exhale, releasing a visible curling huff of frosty white breath that condenses into the cold room air. Cool fluorescent overhead illumination casts crisp rim light across the vibrating metal blades and the edges of the severed falling strands, throwing the deep blues of the remaining mane into velvety shadow. Eerie, hypnotic, serene.
