An alleyway at night after the rain. The lights from the sign cast narrow reflections on the wet stones. A man in a black suit leans against the wall, staring at the ember of his cigarette; his sharp eyes remain undaunted by the rain. Droplets of rain on his shoulder occasionally glisten. From the alley entrance, a girl with light blue hair enters. The hem of her white one-piece dress does not pick up a single drop of splashed water. Her cat ears twitch once toward a sound from the back. The man puts out his cigarette and steps aside halfway. As the girl passes by, the scent of his dying cigarette is replaced by the scent of rain—only where she walked, the stones are dry. The man looks back once. In a puddle, the moon remained without breaking.
