Viewed from a dynamic low angle looking slightly upward, a powerfully built martial artist drops into a wide, grounded stance atop weathered flagstones. His torso coils back toward his right hip, where both hands are drawn and cupped together, palms aligned to compress a rapidly expanding sphere of crackling, electric-blue energy. His fingers curve tautly around the incandescent core as bolts of azure light arc across his red padded fingerless gloves and tense, vein-lined forearms. His head snaps forward toward the frame, intense brown eyes locked in unyielding focus beneath a heavily furrowed brow, jaw set hard with bared teeth. A long crimson cloth headband wraps his forehead, its frayed ends whipping violently backward alongside the torn shoulder edges of his heavy white canvas gi under the pressure of the rising gale. The brilliant cyan orb acts as a primary key light, casting harsh, cool reflections across the planes of his chest, neck, and determined face, throwing deep shadows across the folds of his uniform. Around his planted boots, small stones and loose dust lift weightlessly off the ground, pulled upward into the energy vortex before release. Ferocious determination.
