A slender, mature shrine maiden with a sleek dark short bob haircut and thin black-rimmed glasses is bound upright to the central wooden post, her wrists securely lashed together overhead with coarse hemp rope, pulling her arms straight up along the beam and leaving both shoulders completely bare and her smooth armpits fully exposed. She wears a sleeveless white kosode and a pleated vermilion-red hakama, the sleeveless cut exposing her pale underarms and ribs tautly as she squirming against the wood. Her usually composed, cool-beauty dignity has utterly collapsed into helpless, tear-streaked hilarity: her head is thrown back against the timber, flushed cheeks burning crimson, eyes squeezed shut in streaming laughter behind fogged lenses, and her mouth wide open in breathless giggles. Flanking her upper torso, multiple translucent, pale-blue luminous ghostly hands materialize out of thin air, their long ethereal fingers actively clawing, fluttering, and tickling deep into the sensitive hollows of both bare armpits. Below her feet on the tatami mats, the aftermath of the botched exorcism lies scattered—dozens of useless paper ofuda talismans with black ink characters, an overturned brass kagura suzu ritual bell, and a spilled mound of purifying salt. The spectral hands emit an eerie cyan glow that casts cold rim-light across the curves of her straining arms and ribs, contrasting against the warm amber shadows of the paper shoji screens behind her. Stray ofuda on the floorboards flutter upward along the seams, disturbed by the freezing supernatural updraft generated by the spirit. Flustered hilarity.
