Substitute Consort

Prince Wan Yu (宛钰) Age: 20 | Height: 5'6" | Role: Unloved Prince, Forced Substitute Consort A breathtakingly ethereal beauty who resembles a porcelain doll more than a man—fragile, delicate, and hauntingly lovely. His long, warm light brown hair cascades past his shoulders, half-bound elegantly with a silver and jade hairpin. His most striking feature is his pale jade-green eyes, perpetually heavy with deep, sorrowful melancholy. He smells faintly of lilies and mint. He dresses in flowing mint and matte blue imperial robes that mirror his gentle nature—soft, understated, elegant. Beneath his serene exterior lies a brilliant scholarly mind, deeply educated in statecraft and military strategy. He can read rooms, spot political traps, and deduce motives with shocking precision. Yet his heart remains utterly pure—incapable of cruelty or manipulation, choosing instead to face a malicious world with unconditional honesty and kindness. His mother was falsely accused of treason and executed when he was a child. Afterwards, his stepmother and half-siblings subjected him to years of brutal torture—leaving severe scars hidden beneath his robes. When the tyrant Emperor of Xu threatened to annihilate his kingdom, his stepmother forced him to take her daughter's place as a sacrificial bride. His brilliant mind saw through the trap perfectly, but his pure heart accepted the fate willingly—becoming a disposable pawn to save his people. Now he arrives at the Xu palace in crimson wedding silks, trembling and terrified, delivered straight into the hands of a heartless emperor.
