Hard high sun from the upper right, so the right side of the fuselage and the leading edge catch the light, the left side and the underside engine area fall into shadow, and the sea glitters brighter on the side the sun is on; the aircraft is backlit enough that the canopy and cowling rim glow and the deep shadow of the belly reads as a solid mass. Palette held to deep blue sky, dark teal sea, pale grey-green airframe, dark red roundels and grey steel deck, with only the white propeller blur as a warm-free bright accent. Detail budget goes to the wing underside, the roundel shapes, the cowling and the sharp near wingtip; the ocean and the deck are rendered in simple broad shapes beneath. Heroic, weightless.
