Rising just behind her right shoulder is a single dark rooftop water tower, black against the moon, which gives her headroom and scale. The ledge behind her is a dark line of tiles; nothing else is visible beyond it. The light is one source: the moon, high and cold, rim-lighting the right side of her face and the leading edge of the katana, while her left side falls into deep blue-black shadow. The palette is restricted: black for the kimono and hair, cold blue-white for the moonlight, steel grey for the blade, nothing else.
