1girl, 1other, solo, child, 10 years old, short stature, cute face, dark brown hair, short hair, bob cut, deep purple pointed wizard hat, wide brim, small gold star charm on hat, short purple shoulder cape, gold trim, deep purple long wizard robe, dark indigo accents, dark blue accents, simple gold trim, high stand collar, closed front, long flare sleeves, white high-neck blouse underneath, white long pleated skirt, thin brown leather belt, gold buckle, small brown leather pouch at waist, dark brown leather boots, knee-length boots, pointed toes, gold boot buckles, wooden staff, crystal staff tip, giant slime, staff stuck in slime, hitting slime, attacking, panicking, flustered, sweatdrop, wide-eyed, worried, open mouth, dirt on clothes, mud stains on white skirt, battle damage, perspective, foreshortening, from below, dutch angle, dynamic angle, grassland, fantasy, day, sky, clouds, leaning back, pulling, arms straight, full body The camera sits low, tilted a few degrees off level, looking up from the grass at the girl as she leans hard away from the giant slime that dominates the right half of the frame: the shot is a three-dimensional perspective piece, the slime's translucent mass bulging toward the lens in a near-camera round volume while the girl's foreshortened arms and the staff's length recede steeply back into it. The girl plants her left boot heel deep in the grass, its pointed toe digging a small trench, her right leg braced forward with the knee bent, hips pushed back and shoulders hauled backward so her whole small body hangs off the staff. Both hands grip the wooden shaft white-knuckled, the right higher than the left, elbows locked and trembling; the staff runs from her fists diagonally into the slime's face, and its crystal tip is sunk deep inside the gel, the surface dented inward around the shaft in a tight sheath that swallows it to the wood — the staff does not budge, the shaft visibly bowed a little against the pull. Her chin is thrown up toward the slime, eyes huge and wet at the corners, brows raised and pinched inward, mouth open in a startled cry, a sweatdrop at her temple; her short dark brown hair flicks up at the ends from the sudden backward yank, the wide brim of her deep purple hat tipped back off her forehead with the small gold star charm swinging on its thread, and the short purple shoulder cape with its gold trim bells out behind her shoulders. Her deep purple long robe, closed to the high stand collar with its simple gold trim and dark indigo and deep blue accents, drags back in long flare sleeves rucked at the wrists; beneath it the white high-neck blouse shows at the throat, and the white long pleated skirt kicked out from under the hem carries grey-brown mud stains and spatter across the pleats. The thin brown leather belt with its gold buckle has slid slightly off-center and the small brown leather pouch swings at her hip; her dark brown knee-length leather boots with pointed toes and gold buckles scuff through the grass, grass blades bent flat where she has slid. The giant slime's body fills the right foreground, glossy and semi-translucent, bulging forward in strong perspective with the girl's distorted reflection curving over its bulge, its base spreading wider where it presses the grass down in a wet flattened ring; a thin drip of slime clings to the staff shaft and stretches, the only sign the gel is holding on. Behind them a fantasy grassland rolls away in layered depth: bright green turf and small white and yellow flowers in the near field, a few standing stones and a worn path curving into the middle distance, soft rolling hills and a distant treeline under a high blue sky with flat-bottomed cumulus clouds, all converging toward a vanishing point behind the girl's hip to sell the deep perspective. Late-morning sun comes from the upper left, warm on the girl's cheek, hat brim and the left side of the slime, throwing her stretched shadow down-right across the grass and a bright caustic sliver of light through the slime onto the turf; the slime's shaded underside stays cool deep blue-green, and the palette is held to the deep purple and gold of her outfit, the fresh green field, the turquoise slime and the mud's dull brown-grey. Detail budget goes to her strained hands on the shaft, the staff's bite into the slime, her panicked face and the mud on the pleats; the distant hills stay simple. Bright, comic, flustered adventure.
