A high-angle view looks down into a secluded forest stream where a predatory mantis girl wades in the shallow current. Her upper torso is humanoid with pale skin, short dark brown hair framing her face, bright golden-yellow eyes, and a pair of long, feathery insect antennae sweeping upward from her hairline. A cheerful, untroubled smile curves her mouth as she bites eagerly into the pink flesh of a gleaming silver river fish, gripping the thrashing prey firmly between the razor-sharp serrations of her massive, emerald-green mantis scythes. Below her slender waist, her form extends into the heavy, segmented chitin of a praying mantis body, her long jointed insect legs braced against slick, submerged river stones while her abdomen rests half-submerged in the clear water. Directly in the foreground, a pale, severed human hand floats limp and palm-up on the surface tension, trailing vivid plumes of dark red blood that feather and disperse into translucent ribbons across the rippling pool. A single broad green leaf drifts undisturbed beside the floating fingertips. Sunlight filters through the dense tree canopy overhead in narrow, dappled beams, illuminating bright specular highlights across her wet exoskeleton, the torn scales of the raw fish, and the crimson eddies curling around her feet. Macabre delight.
