Honoruru (ホノルル)

Here is the ex-US Navy cruiser Honolulu wearing a kimono while on a visit to Hawaii. You may ask: "Why is Honolulu, an American shipgirl, wears Japanese clothes?". I'm giving you the context (in my KanColle AU): The cruiser USS Honolulu was one of 703 US Navy shipgirls to be transferred or outright sold to the Imperial Japanese Navy during 1945 as part of Project Hula, to replace the latter's losses at a rapid pace in anticipation for a counteroffensive against the Abyssal Fleet into the Ryukyus and Taiwan. Honolulu was one of two Brooklyn-class light cruisers to be transferred (the other being Savannah). Unlike other US Navy ships, Honolulu opted to keep her name, becoming IJN (later JS) Honolulu.
