Each Kaigani warrior, male or female, is as translucent as the frozen vessel that carries him across the water’s surface. Azure blood flows sluggishly beneath skin like glass, and the dim blue outlines of the internal organs are visible to all who see one. The slow beating of the Kaigani heart is a particularly disturbing sight.
