Her light blue eyes are fixed straight on the lens, one eye pinched shut, the corner of her mouth pulled up lopsided so one small fang shows, a faint flush along her cheeks. Behind her a chain-link fence and an empty rooftop box stand as low dark shapes; the overcast late-afternoon sky is the only light source, cool and diffuse from above and behind, laying a soft grey backlight that rims her hair and the lifted yellow cardigan edge with a thin bright line while her face and the black shirt front fall into flat soft shade.
