A wide low-angle shot looking up from ground level across a bare rocky plateau, so both creatures tower against the sky in an opposed standoff, their bodies facing each other in profile-to-three-quarter turn. On the left, the ice dragon stands squarely on four legs, low-slung and heavy, its long neck arched forward, head thrust toward its opponent with jaw slightly parted; its white and pale-blue scales catch a rim of cold light, a pale circlet-like crest of ice sits between its horns, and a long sharp-tipped tail sweeps back behind it, its tip raised off the ground in a slow counterbalance. Sheath of freezing air clings to its whole body: frost feathers along the shoulders, a visible plume of vapour rolling off its flanks and dripping downward, thin ice crystals forming on the rock directly beneath its belly and claws, and the air behind it optically hazed by the cold. On the right, the steel-scaled dragon answers on four legs, wings half-furled and peeling away from its shoulders, neck drawn back and chin lowered, eyes fixed forward; a churning dragon-energy haze wraps its body, dark red-black currents coiling up its legs and ribs and streaming back off the wing edges, the aura dimming the ground beneath it into a hot murky shadow. Both pairs of eyes lock on each other across the gap between them; each head is turned slightly toward the opposing creature. The two auras meet in the space between them: the cold air and the dark energy curl against each other in a visible seam of condensing mist and hot shimmering distortion. The lighting is an even overcast daylight from high behind the camera, flat silver on the scales, with the auras themselves as secondary sources -- cold blue-white on the left flank of the ice dragon, dull red on the right side of the steel dragon -- and long soft shadows cast back from each creature onto the rock. Background: a natural, open alpine plateau, banded stone and sparse wind-bent grass at the creatures' feet, weathered ridges stepping back into the distance, a far treeline and misted mountain peaks under a low cloud ceiling, no structures and no figures. Palette of white-blue and frost silver against steel grey, dark teal and ember red, the rock a muted ochre-grey. Scales rendered with crisp overlapping plate edges, condensation and aura motion rendered as soft volumetric wisps. Immense, confrontational.
