The essence of my work is, for the most part, profoundly sensual. As for the unpublished studies, they are strictly for my own indulgence—pieces of a 'private collection' where my personal tastes have been explored to their absolute limits. Given the current standards of propriety, they are altogether unfit for public eyes... One cannot help but feel a certain sense of 'kakusei-no-kan' when reflecting on the far more liberal era of the past.
