A single young man fills the frame, seen from slightly above and tilted a few degrees off level, his shoulders angled so his right side sits nearer the lens and his left shoulder drops back into the blurred depth. His hair is short but the bangs hang long and untrimmed, a white fringe falling from the right of his crown and a red fringe from the left, strands of both slipping down between his brows and brushing the bridge of his nose. His eyes are mismatched — a clear blue on his right, a cool grey on his left — and a burn scar spreads across the left side of his face around that grey eye, its pale tight texture passing under the long red bangs and disappearing into the hairline. His mouth is shut, corners turned up just slightly, one brow a touch higher than the other; he looks straight into the lens as though he has just noticed the camera and decided to allow it.
He wears the U.A. school uniform — a white collared shirt buttoned to the throat under a dark jacket with a stiff standing collar, a belt cinched at his waist with the buckle catching a thin line of light — and over one shoulder, slung by its strap, the U.A. gym shirt hangs in a soft fold, its fabric creased from being carried. His right hand is raised to chest height, palm up, and a cluster of ice shards grows out of it in jagged facets, frost feathering along his cuff and a thread of cold vapour curling off the points. From his left hand, held lower and angled away from his body, a small controlled flame licks upward, warm orange light spilling across his knuckles and the underside of his jaw.
The light is split to match him: cold blue-white from the right, warm amber from the left, and where the two meet on the centre of his face they cancel into plain neutral skin, faint double shadows falling behind his chin. The background is a soft, out-of-focus indoor space, cool grey shapes only, nothing readable; every edge that matters is on him. Across the bottom of the frame runs a matte black letterbox bar, and across the top another of equal height, and set into the top bar in clean white caps, evenly spaced and small, the words "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" — flat lettering on flat black, no glow, no shadow. Quiet, warm, poised.
