Abyssal: Snuffed Candle’s Curse

(Verse 1) In a world of gods and restless dead, Where plagues, once feared, no longer inspire dread. I twist essence that none can see, And remind you of your frailty. (Verse 2) Exalted blood once pure and clean, Now rots and churns to ailments unseen. Where once disease would pass you by, Now in my grasp, you’ll sicken and die. (Chorus) Snuff the flame, let sickness reign, Feel the fever, remember the pain. I stifle your might, I ignore your shield, To my plagues, your fate is sealed. (Bridge) Your power once made you immune, But now it falters, I bring your doom. No magic now can keep at bay, Mortality, rot, and decay. (Verse 3) With every breath, I spread the blight, Your swollen glands, a ghastly sight. The fever burns, the rash, the ache, I send the pestilence to break. (Chorus) Snuff the flame, let sickness reign, Feel the fever, remember the pain. I stifle your might, I ignore your shield, To my plagues, your fate is sealed. (Verse 4) I bring you down with simple means, Plagues that undo mortal seams. Your divine nature means nothing to me, Nor to blackened glands and misery. (Final Verse) The mightiest fall, the strong decay, To common contagions, they can waste away. Where heroes once stood tall and proud, They now lie broken beneath my shroud. (Final Chorus) Snuff the flame, let sickness reign, Feel the fever, remember the pain. I stifle your might, I ignore your shield, To my plagues, your fate is sealed.
