Wrath/Joy

Wrath—whose real name she had long since discarded and forgotten—began her story as a mere slave in the arid, post-apocalyptic wastelands of the Atlantic Plain. However, she was 'lucky' enough to join a group of rebellious slaves led by the woman who would become known as the 'Iron Angel'; thanks to her ferocity and ruthless attitude toward her captors, she rose to become the leader's right-hand woman. The Iron Angel succeeded in liberating Wrath's group, and Wrath adopted that name to reflect the fury coursing through her veins. Although she remained by the side of the person she would always regard as her savior, the 'Iron Angel' soon began enslaving survivors on her own—some were raiders, but many more were ordinary survivors. Such actions gradually eroded Wrath's loyalty; yet, despite her strong will, she felt she still owed a debt to the 'Iron Angel' and thus took no action against her. That changed with the attempt to seize the small survivor settlement of Querencia. There, a different 'Angel' infiltrated the Iron Angel's Horde and convinced Wrath to sabotage the assault, sowing confusion within the ranks and sparking a duel between the two Angels. Following the 'Iron Angel's' defeat, Wrath did not flee back to the wastelands but instead threw herself upon the mercy of the new 'Angel' standing before her. Ironically, after serving several years in a Querencia prison, Wrath changed her name to 'Joy' and became the Captain General of the Angel's Sworn—defenders of the wasteland survivors.
