Her vision gradually became clearer. “…Gakupo?” The person before her did not disappear. It really was him. Gakupo was sitting quietly beside her, watching her. Luka did not seem to be fully awake yet. She simply blinked and looked again. After confirming that she was not mistaken, the tension she had been carrying for half a month finally melted away completely. “…It really is you.” Her voice was hoarse with sleep. Gakupo smiled gently. “Mm. It’s me.” Luka said nothing more. Her body instinctively moved closer to Gakupo. As if making sure he was truly there beside her, she naturally rested against his shoulder. Luka는 아직 완전히 잠에서 깨어나지 못한 듯했다. 그저 눈을 몇 번 깜빡이고 다시 바라보았다. 자신이 잘못 본 것이 아니라는 것을 확인한 순간, 보름 동안 팽팽하게 긴장해 있던 그녀의 마음이 마침내 완전히 놓였다. 「……정말 당신이구나.」 잠에서 막 깨어난 그녀의 목소리는 살짝 쉰 듯했다. Gakupo는 지쳐 보이는 그녀를 바라보며 더 이상 많은 말을 하지 않았다. 「나는 이제 돌아왔어.」 그의 목소리는 아주 부드러웠다. 「그러니까 이제 안심하고 자도 돼.」 Luka는 천천히 눈을 떴다. 그녀는 Gakupo를 바라보았고, 입가에는 안도한 미소가 떠올랐다. 「응……」 그녀는 조금 더 가까이 다가갔다. 「그럼 됐어.」 그 말을 끝으로 그녀의 눈은 다시 천천히 감겼다. 이번에는 걱정 때문에 억지로 깨어 있으려 하지 않았다. 자신이 기다리던 사람이 이미 돌아왔다는 것을 알고 있었기 때문이다. 그리고 Gakupo는 그렇게 조용히 그녀의 곁을 지켜주었다.
