友人のお父さま（故人）
かつての新宿・神楽坂は花街のひとつに数えられ、多くの芸人・芸娘さんたちが闊歩し華やかな雰囲気でした。今でも路地裏に残る黒塀や小路が往時の様相を彷彿とさせていますが、ほとんど面影は残っておりません。 そんな背景から近接する東大久保（現在の新宿７丁目）～若松町の界隈には下積みの芸能人が下宿していたり、噺家の一門たちが居を構えていたのです。有名どころでは新人時代の志村けん氏、私の過去作に登場した三遊亭金翁（三代目金馬）師匠など。 私の幼馴染、“さっちゃん”のお父上もそんな中の一人でした。芸名を“林家正楽（江戸3代目）”と言い、日本テレビの長寿番組【笑点】にも何度か出演していたりします。軽妙な音楽と共に大判の真っ白い紙に軽快にチョキチョキと鋏を入れていくと、美しい切り紙作品が出現する【紙切り芸】が有名で、演芸専門誌【東京かわら版】の表紙は彼の作品が没するまで採用されていました。 幼い頃に“さっちゃん”の家に遊びに行くと、帰りには必ず正楽師匠が即興で拵えた【作品】をお土産に貰えるのが密かな楽しみでした。今もご健在であったなら、生成画像のようならでんちゃんとの夢のコラボが実現出来ていたかも知れません…
