Her weight is lowered solidly onto bent knees, her lead foot planted firmly forward while her rear foot braces against the fractured pavement. Both hands grip the dark lacquered shaft of a long naginata with deliberate tension: her lead hand wraps around the upper middle section while her rear hand anchors the base, angling the polished steel blade diagonally upward across the frame. Her long brown hair, bound into a half-up ponytail by a dark ribbon, whips across her shoulders in a sudden updraft, with slender strands separating across her forehead. Her vivid blue eyes are locked in a piercing, theatrical glare directed just past the lens, her brow faintly furrowed and lips firmly set in focused concentration. She wears a crisp white short-sleeved summer school uniform blouse with an open collar neatly fitted with a ribbon, paired with a pleated school skirt that flutters with the turbulent breeze above dark knee-high socks and sturdy loafers. Towering behind her are hollowed concrete high-rises and shattered glass facades overrun by trailing ivy and moss, framing the desolate urban corridor. Warm afternoon sunlight cuts diagonally between the broken skyscrapers, casting a razor-sharp glint along the naginata's curved cutting edge and throwing long shadows across the rubble-strewn street, while loose gravel and dried leaves swirl outward from the sudden impact of her grounded boots. Dramatic resolve.
