Aokage Naomichi and Okou, LARP heroes 青景直道、お紅

In the world of LARP (live-action role playing), there are a few massive gatherings -- places around the world where thousands of people show up to wear medieval clothes and armor, wield simulated medieval weapons, and engage in mock battles over a long weekend. There is a group of Japanese fans who like to travel to attend such events in the West, with the setting of "travelers from a distant land". Among this party are a certain pair, a proper noblewoman traveling under the name of Kurenai Gozen (紅御前) and a scruffy retainer known as Aokage Naomichi (青景直道). It's easy to make hasty assumptions about them, but then when the first battle begins the truth is revealed. Aokage dons shining blue armor over his ratty clothes and reveals that he is the party's true leader, the real noble in disguise. Kurenai tears off her kimono to show the armor under it, and it becomes clear that rather than a noblewoman, she is a lethal kunoichi dedicated to the service of Aokage-dono, her true name being O-kou (お紅). Together they spend the weekend sneaking behind enemy lines, spying from the trees, attacking stragglers, and sharing absurd amounts of sake with their Western allies as they all carouse together. Even when alone together, they stay in character as much as possible... though in the privacy of their tent, O-kou abandons the use of "Aokage-dono" and instead calls him "Danna-sama". (Real names: Matsutake Shun, Nishiyama Kaede) LARP（ライブアクション・ロールプレイング）の世界には、世界中で開催される大規模なイベントがいくつかあります。そこでは、数千人の人々が中世の衣装や鎧を身にまとい、中世風の模擬武器を手に取り、長い週末をかけて模擬戦を繰り広げます。日本には、「遥か彼方からの旅人」という設定で、こうした欧米のイベントに参加するために旅をするファンたちがいます。その一行の中には、紅御前（くれないごぜん）という名で旅をする気品ある貴婦人、そして青景直道（あおかげなおみち）と呼ばれるみすぼらしい家臣という、ある一組のペアがいる。彼らについては安易に先入観を抱きがちだが、最初の戦闘が始まると、真実が明らかになる。青景はぼろぼろの服の上に輝く青い鎧を身にまとい、自分がこの一団の真のリーダーであり、変装した本物の貴族であることを明かす。紅御前は着物を引き裂いてその下の鎧を見せると、彼女が貴婦人ではなく、青景殿に仕える殺し屋のくノ一であり、本名は「お紅(おこう)」であることが明らかになる。二人は週末を共に過ごし、敵陣の背後に潜入したり、木陰から偵察したり、後れを取った敵を襲撃したり、そしてキャンプファイヤーの周りで皆で賑やかに盛り上がる中、西側の同盟軍たちと途方もない量の日本酒を酌み交わす。二人きりの時でさえ、彼らは可能な限り役柄を貫こうとする……とはいえ、テントの中というプライベートな空間では、お紅は「青景殿」という呼び方をやめ、代わりに彼を「旦那様」と呼ぶのです。 (本名: 松竹俊、西山楓)

Under his armor it can be seen that he wears a ratty and dirt-stained light-blue kimono, ratty and dirt-stained dark-grey hakama, black tabi socks, and straw waraji sandals. The ninja girl on the right is only slightly shorter than the samurai; she is skinny and slender, with a narrow waist, but her body is toned and sculpted: her deltoids, biceps, triceps, obliques, six-pack abs, and thigh muscles are all clearly visible and give shape and definition to her otherwise scrawny body. She has black hair that is pulled into a messy bun in back, with a pair of red hair sticks in it, and in front has ((((blunt bangs and waist-length sidelocks)))). She has dark blue eyes, short eyebrows, and pale skin. Her clothes are Japanese in flavor, although they reflect stereotypical kunoichi attire: a black halterneck crop top, with a fishnet cutout in the center to show her cleavage; ((((fishnet sleeves)))); a tiny black fundoshi; a thin, dark blue waist sash hanging low on her hips (her midriff is fully exposed and her navel is plainly visible, not hidden); toeless thigh-high fishnet stockings, and zouri sandals.
