A three-quarter underwater view frames a single anthropomorphic cat furry who has just awakened to find her lower half transformed into a mermaid's tail. Her upper body is covered in short, dense cream-and-honey fur that fluffs gently in the water, tapering into a slender waist where the fur seamlessly blends through scattered iridescent flecks into a powerful, shimmering fish tail of iridescent teal and seafoam silver. Two polished pearl-pink scallop shells held by a fine braided cord cover her chest. Suspended weightlessly mid-water, her body forms an elegant S-curve: her torso is tilted forward while the long scaled tail curls up into the midground, terminating in a broad, bifurcated caudal fin that ripples like diaphanous silk. Her right cat paw gently presses against her own hip, paw pads splayed in tactile disbelief as she feels the smooth, damp scales, while her left paw floats outward with fingers slightly curled against the water pressure. Her feline face is tilted downward with large amber cat eyes dilated in wonder, pointed tufted ears cocked forward, whiskers twitching, and her mouth parted slightly around tiny white fangs. Downward shafts of golden sunlight pierce through the rippling ocean surface above, casting shifting, brilliant caustic lattice patterns exclusively across the upward-facing planes of her ears, shoulders, and the crest of her tail. A trailing cluster of tiny pearlescent air bubbles rises from the fur at her cheek toward the illuminated surface. Enchanting wonder.
