このようなAI生成物にロスコ云々というのもおこがましいですが、定期的にこの手の生成をしたくなるのは、複雑性を増す一方の絵面に待ったをかけたくなるというか中和したくなるというか、何かの表象ではなく筆致や色彩だけで人の感情を揺さぶる画というものもあるだろう！という抽象表現主義の主張に僕も深く同意するからであり、それこそ音楽においてもAutechre等、極度に抽象性の高いエレクトロニカ作品の、何かを表象しているとは到底思えない音像や曲名に触れると同種の感慨を抱くことはままある。要は言葉に還元できない情動を喚起する表現に憧れるワケですが、それを生み出すための手段が100%言葉によるというアンビバレンス。これがプロンプトによるAI画像生成の面白さだなー、と少し思ったりする。
