In the foreground, a young man with spiky brown hair and a young woman with long violet-purple hair and straight blunt bangs sit back-to-back on a metal platform, their upper backs and shoulder blades pressed together to support each other's weight as they sleep. Both have their eyes peacefully closed; his head is tilted back slightly to rest against her shoulder, while her head leans softly against his back, her long purple hair draped across her flight suit and spilling down onto the ribbed floor plating. Her hands rest quietly in her lap, and his arms rest loosely across his bent knees. Looming directly behind and above them in the dim industrial hangar, a colossal white, midnight-blue, and crimson-accented mecha kneels in silence. The giant robot's head, flanked by a prominent yellow V-fin and a heavy forehead cannon block, is tilted downward, its dual green optical eye sensors glowing softly in the shadows as they focus on the two resting pilots below. A single warm work-floodlight from the lower left illuminates the folds of their suits and casts long, gentle shadows across the deck, while the faint emerald glow from the mecha's optics produces subtle rim highlights on the boy's hair and the girl's shoulder. Dust motes hang stationary in the cool ambient air of the bay. Protective, tender.
