Medium cowboy shot from a three-quarters side angle on a private apartment balcony during deep evening twilight. Two girls stand close together in relaxed private attire, sharing an unhurried smoke break. On the left, a girl with soft coral-pink hair gathered into a neat side bun rests both forearms against the flat top of the metal balcony railing, leaning forward with her weight shifted over her front hip; she wears an oversized off-white cable-knit cardigan slipping slightly off one shoulder over a pale ribbed tank top. Between the index and middle fingers of her right hand, she loosely holds a sleek white cylindrical electronic heated-tobacco stick, its tip glowing faintly with a pinpoint amber indicator while a delicate, vanishing wisp of white vapor curls upward. Her head is tilted inward, soft green eyes and lips curved into a faint, affectionate smile directed toward her companion. Standing beside her on the right, her shoulder nearly brushing the first girl's arm, a girl with jet-black hair featuring vibrant emerald-green gradient undersides tied into two low twintails leans her lower back against the open sliding glass door frame. She wears a baggy charcoal-gray zip-up hoodie over a plain heather-gray crewneck shirt; one hand rests inside her hoodie pocket while the other raises a matte black electronic cigarette near her chin, her lips parted as she softly exhales a thin, translucent veil of vapor into the cool night air, meeting the pink-haired girl's gaze with a relaxed, knowing half-smile.
Behind them, a warm golden interior light spills across the balcony tiles through the open doorway, casting elongated shadows forward and highlighting the edges of their oversized fabric. In contrast, the cool indigo and violet ambiance of the evening sky washes over the outer railing, backed by the soft circular bokeh of a distant, sprawling cityscape. Where the fine plumes of e-cigarette vapor intersect the warm light beam from the door, the vapor reveals laminar air currents before diffusing rapidly into the cooler ambient darkness outside. Tender and quietly intimate.
