character: yanami_anna 1girl, solo, dog ears, dog tail, flopped dog ears, animal ear fluff, inside box, cardboard box, crouching, hugging knees, sitting, from above, high angle, looking up, looking at viewer, school uniform, white short-sleeved collared shirt, pleated grey skirt, ribbon bowtie, medium blue hair, ahoge, blue eyes, teary eyes, tareme, slight pout, blush, text, japanese text, handwriting, pavement, outdoor, overcast Viewed from above at a high angle looking down into a weathered corrugated cardboard box set on damp asphalt pavement, a teenage girl sits curled tightly inside the carton like an abandoned stray puppy. Her knees are drawn up against her chest with both arms wrapped securely around her shins, compressing the fabric of her pleated grey skirt, while her tucked weight rests squarely against the bottom of the box. Drooping, soft canine ears sprout from her medium-length bright blue hair and hang limply beside her temples, while an ahoge arches upward above her head. A matching bushy tail curls forward along her hip, resting against the inner cardboard lining. She wears a high school uniform featuring a white short-sleeved collared shirt with an unadorned collar and a neatly tied ribbon bowtie at the throat. With her chin resting close to her knees, she tilts her face upward to lock wide, tear-rimmed blue eyes directly onto the viewer, her eyebrows lowered in a pitiful slant above flushed cheeks and a tiny, quivering pout. The flaps of the open kraft-brown cardboard box are folded flat outward; across the front exterior face of the box, rendered in bold, slightly uneven black marker strokes that subtly warp over the vertical ridges of the corrugated cardboard, reads the legible text "拾ってください". Diffused, soft overcast daylight illuminates the scene from above, casting gentle shadows inside the box and reflecting dull light off the asphalt surface, where faint moisture wicks upward into the bottom rim of the cardboard to darken the raw paper edge. Piteous and endearing.
