The fog itself is lit only where the key grazes it, glowing at the edges of the reaching arms, and the background beyond is a featureless dark. Palette: the red of the lace, warm skin, grey-green dead hands, and the milky white of the fog, nothing else admitted. Photographic realism throughout, texture in the pores and the lace threads and the fog's particulate, shallow depth of field holding her face and her forward hand sharp and letting the ghost arms soften. Still, seductive, quietly wrong.
