Her head is tipped back and turned up toward the lens, cheeks and the bridge of her nose flushed a warm even pink, lips parted on a small breath, eyes half-lidded with the pupils rolled up to meet the viewer, one brow lifted a fraction higher than the other in a teasing, knowing look; fine strands of hair escape at the temple and cling to the flush of her cheek. The light comes from one large soft source high and to the right, laying a broad highlight down the right side of the headdress, the right shoulder, the lifted curtain and the front of both thighs, letting the left side of her body and the folds under the skirt fall into a gentle grey; the palette is white against white, held apart only by the warm flush of her skin and the pale grey of the shadows.
