Marie Rose's Relaxing Daydream! 💤

I just had to draw Marie Rose from Dead or Alive taking a relaxing break—she looks so adorable with her twin-tails and that cute blue bikini! There's something about her gentle smile that always cheers me up. If you love this little angel as much as I do, please leave a like and follow for more content! Let me know what you think in the comments~

character: marie_rose, copyright: dead_or_alive 1girl, solo, marie_rose, blonde hair, long hair, twintails, black ribbon hair ornaments, blue eyes, bikini, two-piece swimsuit, bare shoulders, bare midriff, lying on bed, on back, laid out, arms above head, from above, foreshortening, looking up at viewer, bed sheet, pillow, soft bedroom light, intimate, window light, Shot from directly above the bed, camera looking steeply down the length of the mattress with strong foreshortening: the girl's head sits nearest the lower edge of frame, her body receding toward the headboard so the sheets run away in perspective. One girl only — fair-skinned, slim, blonde hair in two long twintails that spill loose across the pillow and the sheet, each tail tied with a black ribbon bow; long bangs parted over her brow, blue eyes open and angled back up toward the lens, chin lifted a little so the throat shows. She is stretched out flat on her back on the bed, a bare-shouldered bikini in a deep blue two-piece, the halter strap knotted behind her neck, the top cups sitting flush on her chest, the small side ties flat against her hips, the bottom piece riding with the shift of the mattress; bare legs extended, one knee bent and fallen open to the side, both feet resting on the sheet. Both arms are flung up above her head, wrists loose and crossed at the headboard side, elbows slightly bent so the shoulder blades press into the mattress — the weight of her upper body sinks the pillow and drags a shallow hollow into the sheet beneath her hips, and the drawn sheet gathers in soft diagonal pulls toward her bent knee, the one place the taut fabric breaks. Her gaze goes straight up the camera axis, mouth a small closed-lip smile with one brow lifted, a faint flush high on the cheeks, nothing coy in it but a cool little challenge. The bed fills the frame edge to edge: white or pale grey cotton sheet, a single pillow under her head with a cotton crease running off its corner, and a bare wooden headboard rail crossing the very top of the frame just above her crossed wrists. Light comes from one window at the left of frame, low and soft — it rakes across the sheet from the left, throws the girl's shadow and her loose hair shadow onto the right side of the mattress with soft-edged long shapes, lifts a pale highlight along the outer edge of her left arm, her left hip, and the sheet's folded crest, while the sheet at the right edge and under her bent knee falls away into a muted blue-grey dark. The only other light is what the white sheet bounces up into the underside of her chin and the inner surfaces of her arms. Palette held to three: warm cream and pale grey in the sheet, deep blue in the bikini and her eyes, a thin black against the blonde in the ribbon bows and her lashes. Everything in the room beyond the mattress is out of frame; no props, no clutter, no second person. Crisp cel-shaded anime rendering, clean linework, soft even shading on skin, no grain, no vignette. Quietly sultry, self-assured.
