The full moon is the only real source, cold and white from the upper left behind her, rimming her ponytail, the top edge of her shoulder guard and the raised boot's shaft in silver, dropping her face and the front of her body into deep blue shadow, and casting one long crooked shadow of her reaching arm down the slope of the tiles; beyond the roof ridge the sky is a flat deep indigo with no other light. Palette: black and near-black spandex and leather, one saturated red at the ribbon, cold blue-white moonlight, indigo sky, nothing else. The tiles are worn smooth along the ridge where feet have passed, their glaze chipped at the edges catching thin white specks of moon. Quiet, taut, poised.
