Peaceful Afternoon Nap

I'm absolutely captivated by the serene atmosphere of this piece, especially how the soft sunlight dances across her sleeping face. There's something so intimate and calming about this scene that makes me want to stay in this quiet moment forever. If you enjoy this vibe, please leave a like and follow for more art!

character: chun-li, qu_(pgr) 1girl, solo, chun-li, lying, on back, unconscious, closed eyes, defeat, torn clothes, torn dress, open clothes, aqua bra, skirt lift, chun-li's skirt pulled up, brown hair in double bun, bun covers, brown eyes closed, jewelry, bracelet, earrings, indoors, floor, from above, foreshortening, limp limbs, disheveled, Viewed from above, looking steeply down at her: she lies flat on her back on a bare wooden floor indoors, one arm flung out above her head with the wrist slack, the other fallen across the boards at her side, legs folded loosely to one side, hips slightly rolled so the weight of her body sinks into the floorboards and her chin has slipped toward one shoulder. Her eyes are fully closed, lashes resting on her cheekbones, brows barely drawn in the last trace of strain, mouth parted a little; the whole body has gone heavy and limp, no muscle holding it up — this is the stillness after the fight is already over. Her dress is torn open: the fabric split down the front and ripped at one shoulder so the panels fall away from her torso, the hem shredded into dangling threads, and the skirt shoved up over her hip so the aqua fabric of her bra and the bare line of her waist and stomach show clearly against the torn cloth; the lifted skirt drapes across one thigh in folds that catch the light. Her long brown hair has come loose from its buns, half of it fanned out across the boards around her head, the round bun covers still pinned but askew, the bracelets on her wrists resting against the floor and the earrings gone still. The room is enclosed and dim: a plank floor under her, a low wall and the corner of a wooden table at the top edge of the frame, a paper screen or shuttered window behind casting a pale band of light. That pale light comes in from the upper left as the only source — it slides across her upraised forearm, her collarbone refrain and the aqua fabric stretched over her chest, and pools in the hollow of her waist, while the boards to her right and the underside of her jaw and shoulder fall into deep cool shadow. Dust motes drift in the light band; the shadow of her flung-out arm is long and soft on the floor. Palette of brown wood, muted brown hair, shredded off-white and blue dress panels, pale aqua bra, cool shadow grey. Quiet, defeated stillness.
