A vinyl record turns on the turntable at the left of the desk, the tonearm lowered into the groove; the record's surface is concentric rings of near-black and one warm highlight, and the dust cover is hinged open at a steep angle so the record's edge is clearly visible. The window's lower edge carries a faint reflection of the desk lamp, warmer and dimmer than its source.
The palette is disciplined: everything inside is muted — cream, charcoal, dust brown, warm amber — while purple and cyan enter only through the glass and the monitor halos, bleeding onto her cheek, her shoulder and the rim of the headphones.
