His head tilts down and to the left toward the camera, chin lifted just enough to aim a smug grin up at the lens, one side of the mouth pulled higher, a sharp canine showing, and above the chin the neat pointed goatee sits crisp against his jaw. Purple eyes hooded, half-lidded and glinting with reflected orange light. His spiky purple hair is a stiff upward mass of sharp cropped locks, and from the crown two triangular cat ears rise, shaped from the hair itself, each notch ridged with the same spike texture and tipped with a faint glow along the rim. One cheek is lit warm, the other swallowed by shadow, and his breath mists slightly in the cold.
The scene is a Halloween night street: behind him a carved jack-o'-lantern grin throws orange up-light from below the level of his shoulders, and beyond it the lane recedes into drifting fog that eats the far buildings, so he is the only full figure in the frame. The single source of warm light is the jack-o'-lantern glow at lower left; the wet cobbles catch it in long smeared streaks running along the seams between the stones, and everything beyond the pool of light is cold blue-black. Autumn leaves have collected in a drift against a step and only their upward faces are lit.
