1girl, solo, halloween costume, witch costume, large breasts, black pointed hat, wide brim hat, gold buckle, purple velvet dress, jagged hem, black lace collar, holding pumpkin lantern, jack-o'-lantern, glowing lantern, from below, cowboy shot, low angle, looking down at viewer, head tilt, one eye closed, smug, tareme, long black hair, hair blowing to the side, black thighhighs, standing on one leg, arms at sides,
Low-angle cowboy shot from slightly below the girl's hip height, looking up so her black pointed hat, its wide brim and the square gold buckle at its band cut hard against the night sky. She is turned three-quarters to the frame, weight loaded onto her right leg while her left leg is bent and lifted a little off the ground, toes pointed, knee turned inward in a mid-step balance. Her right arm hangs relaxed with the hand loosely curled; her left hand grips the wire handle of a carved pumpkin lantern at hip height, the lantern swinging slightly forward. Inside the carved jack-o'-lantern a candle burns: warm orange light pushes out through the mouth and triangular eye-holes, spills upward onto the underside of her chin, her throat and the black lace collar at her neckline, and reaches the inner curves of her chest, where the velvet dress, square-cut and tight, catches it in a soft purple sheen; the same light reaches the inside of her forearm and the metal handle, throwing a thin hot line along the wire. The girl tilts her head down toward the glow, chin lowered, so she looks down past the camera with a lopsided smug smile, one eye closed in a wink and the other half-lidded, a stray lock of long black hair blown across her cheek and the ribboned hat-trailing locks lifting to her left as if a night breeze crossed the frame. Beyond the pumpkin's pool the surroundings fall away into near-black: no ground detail, only a faint cold blue rim from an unseen moon tracing the top of the hat brim, her bare shoulder and the jagged points of the dress hem, all edges crisp and dark against a deep violet-black field. Palette rigidly held to midnight purple, black, candle-orange and a single cold moon-blue rim, nothing else admitted. Her velvet sleeves, her thighhighs and the lace at her collar keep their separate textures -- soft raised pile, stretching knit, open floral lace -- and the candle's light shortens her cast shadow into a tight puddle at her feet rather than a long throw. Costume-playful, mischievous.
