character: xuangzang_sanzang_(fate). An eye-level medium shot frames the interior of a vast Mogao-style Buddhist cave temple. Kneeling at the center of the cavern floor is the character xuangzang_sanzang_(fate), a dark-skinned female with long brown hair, deeply bowed in absolute prayer, her palms pressed together at heart-center. Adorned in a large, ornate hat, hoop earrings, bead necklaces, and a bikini-style swimsuit as traditional devotional attire, she is surrounded by the sacred setting. The curved sandstone walls are richly covered with weathered iron-red and malachite-green murals depicting flying apsaras and bodhisattvas. Hundreds of tiny brass butter lamps flicker from carved niches, scattering warm amber light across the scene, which is pierced by a single shaft of pale celestial light descending from a high opening. Silken sutra scrolls lie partially unrolled on the floor next to a brass vessel. The atmosphere is rendered as a high-quality painterly anime illustration that carefully captures the soil textures, rim-light halo on the figure, and countless floating dust motes caught in the divine beam.
