One step. Then another. Just as she reached the threshold, the guard raised a hand. "Stop." Seiri froze in place and looked back over her shoulder. "Hm?" The guard stepped closer, maintaining a calm but firm expression. "Not so fast." Seiri blinked. "I thought you wanted me to come with you." "I do," the guard replied evenly. "But wait until I finish giving you instructions." She let out a quiet sigh and gave a small nod. "...Alright." The guard positioned himself beside the doorway, preparing to explain what would happen next.
