The distance between them was now only a few steps. --------- 日本語 司と咲希は、薄暗い廊下を必死に走っていた。 しかし、後ろから聞こえる足音は、どんどん近づいてくる。 「咲希！　前にまだ道はあるか？」司は走りながら尋ねた。 「分からないよ！　怖くて後ろなんて見られない！」咲希は答えながら、関門のアイテムをぎゅっと握りしめた。 二人が角を曲がった瞬間、後ろからMioの興奮した声が響いた。 「見つけた！　すぐ前にいるよ！」 「もうかなり近いよ！」みおも叫んだ。 その声を聞いた咲希は、さらに速度を上げる。 「司お兄ちゃん、本当に追いつかれちゃうよ！」 「分かってる！　もう少しだけ頑張れ！」 Gakupoを先頭に、十人が一気に距離を縮めていく。 「みんな、離れないように！」 Lukaは前方の二人を見つめた。 「もうすぐ追いつけるわ。」 Mikuが前を指差した。 「前は行き止まり！」 司は慌てて前を見る。 廊下の突き当たりには、確かに閉ざされた扉があった。 「しまった！」 咲希も足を止める。 「司お兄ちゃん、どうするの？」 司は扉まで走り、力いっぱい押した。 「開けー！」 しかし、扉はびくともしない。 その間にも、後ろから足音がどんどん近づいてくる。 「止まったよ！」KAITOが叫んだ。 「どうやら、今度こそ追いつけそうね。」MEIKOが笑う。 Rinが反対側から近づいてくる。 「もう逃げ場はないよ！」 Lenも続いた。 「後ろの道も塞いだよ！」 Tetoが楽しそうに叫ぶ。 「捕まえるまで絶対に止まらないよ！」 「ちょ、ちょっと待って！」司が慌てる。「これは肝試し大会だろ？　なんで追いかけっこになってるんだ？！」 咲希は不安そうに司の袖をつかんだ。 「司お兄ちゃん……本当に来るよ。」 十人の姿が、白い霧の中から少しずつ現れていく。 乾氷の霧が足元を覆い、薄暗い照明によって十人のシルエットはさらに不気味に見えた。 Gakupoがゆっくり近づく。 「二人とも、準備はできたか？」 「全然できてない！」司は即答した。 Lukaは思わず笑う。 「それなら、もう少し近づきましょうか。」 「やめてー！」咲希が叫ぶ。 Mioが笑いながら走り出す。 「捕まえた！」 みおも後ろから続く。 「待ってよー！」 Rin、Len、Tetoも一斉に速度を上げる。 「追いつくよ！」 「すぐそこだ！」 「逃がさないよ！」 Miku、KAITO、MEIKOも素早く追いついていく。 「あと少し！」Mikuが叫ぶ。 「もうすぐだ！」KAITOが言う。 MEIKOは笑いながら続けた。 「今度こそ捕まえるわ。」 司はどんどん近づいてくる十人を見て、額に冷や汗を浮かべた。 「咲希……」 「なに？」 「隙ができたら、一緒に走るぞ！」 咲希は力強くうなずいた。 「うん！」 二人は同時に、まだ確認していない唯一の脇道へ目を向ける。 そして十人が二人に追いつこうとした、その瞬間―― 司が突然手を伸ばした。 「今だ！」 司は咲希の手を取ると、脇道へ向かって一気に走り出した。 「わっ！」咲希も驚きながら、すぐに後を追う。 十人は一瞬だけ動きを止めた。 そしてGakupoが笑う。 「追いかけるぞ！」 次の瞬間、十人は再び白い霧の中へ駆け込んでいった。 司と咲希は前方を必死に走り、十人はすぐ後ろから追いかけ続ける。 二人との距離は、もうほんの数歩しかなかった。
