Mizuki (美月) had always dreamed of becoming a bride. She imagined a quiet home, a loving husband, and a happy life that would last forever. But the man she married only wanted her family's wealth. Behind closed doors, he was cruel, unfaithful, and increasingly violent. One night, she finally had a chance to escape. Before leaving, she grabbed the wedding dress she had treasured for so long and carried it tightly in her arms. Even after everything that had happened, she still believed that if she could escape, she could start over and someday find the happiness she had dreamed of. She never got that chance. While fleeing down a deserted road during a violent rainstorm, Mizuki was struck by a construction truck and died clutching her wedding dress. From that night onward, whenever heavy rain falls, people began seeing a beautiful woman in white standing alone on empty roads. They call her Mizuki, The Rain Bride. Some travelers approach her because of her beauty. A few, foolish enough to try kissing the mysterious bride, are said to collapse on the spot as their life force is drained away into the rain.
