Her short hair is slightly tousled with damp wisps clinging to her neck, held back at one temple with a small dark clip. Wrapped securely in a thick white bath towel cinched snugly above her chest, she bares her wet shoulders and sharp collarbones to the brisk mountain air. One leg is drawn up onto the weathered cedar ledge while the other foot dips below the surface of the steaming mineral water. Her left hand rests flat against the damp, greyed timber to support her weight, fingers slightly splayed against the mossy grain, while her right arm drapes loosely across her propped knee. She angles her chin slightly downward, fixing the camera lens with a piercing, cool, half-lidded violet stare—the guarded, detached composure of an idol caught mid-shoot in an austere setting. The bath itself is rugged and aged, enclosed by rough-hewn river stones stained with dark mineral deposits and peeling, weathered wood boards. Billowing tendrils of warm thermal steam twist upward from the undulating water surface, softly diffusing the surrounding air. In the background, past the worn timber railing of the bath terrace, deep mountain ridges recede into the distance under a dramatic dusk sky that shifts from glowing persimmon and burnt copper at the horizon to dusky violet and twilight navy above. The setting sun casts a low, warm rake across her jawline, shoulder, and the rippling bath water, while an off-camera photography reflector catches her right side in clean, cool rim light that illuminates individual suspended droplets of vapor. Condensation droplets collect and run along the cold, unheated perimeter stones, while faint micro-vapors rise continuously from her warm, exposed skin into the chilled twilight air. Aloof, quiet intensity.
