1girl, solo, long hair, intense blush, red cheeks, half-closed eyes, parted lips, holding crumpled tissue, sniffing tissue, paper tissue, trash can, kneeling on floor, crouching, tight jeans, denim pants, casual sweater, boy's bedroom, cluttered room, desk, from above, high angle, afternoon light, window blinds shadow From a high angle looking down into a quiet boy's bedroom, a lone woman with long dark hair crouches on her knees on the wooden floorboards, caught in a moment of secretive fixation. Her weight rests back on her heels, with the fitted indigo denim of her jeans stretching taut and creasing sharply across her bent knees and thighs. Both of her hands cup a single crumpled, used white tissue, delicately pressing the balled-up paper against her nostrils and slightly parted lips as she draws a slow, deliberate breath. Her face is flushed with an intense crimson blush that radiates across her cheekbones, the bridge of her nose, and the tips of her ears; her eyelashes flutter low over glossy, half-lidded eyes fixed entirely on the wrinkled paper in her grasp. Beside her right knee on the floor sits a small plastic wastebasket tucked against the leg of a wooden study desk, revealing empty space where the tissue was just retrieved. In the background, the teenager's room displays an unmade bed with rumpled blankets, scattered notebooks, and a desk chair pushed askew. Low golden sunlight filters through the horizontal slats of window blinds, casting sharp parallel bands of light and shadow across the floor that bend accurately over the curvature of her denim-clad legs and the folds of her long-sleeved top. Her fingertips lightly indent the soft, crushed ridges of the paper where she holds it to the tip of her nose. The scene is rendered in warm amber, dark denim indigo, and rich hardwood tones, pierced by the feverish red of her flushed skin. Guilty transgressive intimacy.
