CHAPTER 04

WHEN MOON MEETS SUN The clock was falling apart. The road was breaking. The sky was beginning to lose its light. Moon looked at SUN. SUN looked at Moon. They finally understood. The Moon did not have to become the Sun. The Sun did not have to become the Moon. They simply had to shine together. Moon raised her hand. A gentle silver light filled the broken world. SUN raised her hand. A warm golden light joined it. Moonlight met sunlight. Silver met gold. Night met day. And between them, a new path appeared. A bridge of light stretched across the broken sky. The gears stopped. The flowers became still. The clock began to tick normally again. Even the tiny rabbit-shaped guide stopped running. For a moment, the whole world was silent. Then— CLICK. The broken pieces began to come together. The road was restored. The sky returned. And the great clock began to smile. 月と太陽が出会うとき 時計は崩れかけていた。 道は壊れかけていた。 空は光を失い始めていた。 月は太陽を見つめた。 太陽は月を見つめた。 二人はついに理解した。 月が太陽になる必要はなかった。 太陽が月になる必要もなかった。 ただ、共に輝けばよかったのだ。 月が手を掲げた。 柔らかな銀色の光が、壊れかけた世界を満たしていく。 太陽が手を掲げた。 温かな金色の光が、そこに重なった。 月光と日光が出会う。 銀と金が出会う。 夜と昼が出会う。 そして二人の間に、新しい道が現れた。 壊れた空を横切るように、光の橋が架かった。 歯車が止まった。 花たちが静止した。 時計は再び、正常に時を刻み始めた。 ウサギの形をした小さな案内役さえも、走るのをやめた。 一瞬、世界中が静まり返った。 そして―― カチリ。 壊れた破片たちが、一つに組み合わさり始めた。 道が修復された。 空が戻ってきた。 そして、巨大な時計が微笑み始めた。
