1girl, 2boys, 3girls, green hair, long hair, high ponytail, swordswoman, holding sword, katana, sword training, swinging sword, martial arts, training, yard, traditional house, wooden veranda, morning, sunrise, younger sibling, little boy, father, watching, family, outdoors, from below, dutch angle, dynamic pose, motion blur, sunlight, long shadows, sleeveless white kimono top, black obi, indigo hakama, bare arms, bare shoulders, light-blue yukata, cross-legged, arms crossed, grey yukata, brown sash, looking at another, open mouth, determined, wide-eyed, grin Shot from a low dutch angle at knee height, tilted a few degrees so the world leans with the swing: in the near foreground, filling the left two-thirds of the frame, the young swordswoman is caught at the apex of a diagonal downward cut, left foot planted forward with her weight sunk into the ball of it, right heel lifted and trailing, torso twisted so her right shoulder drives toward the viewer and her left hip pulls back; both hands grip the wrapped hilt of the steel katana, right hand above left, knuckles pale, the blade slashing down through the air toward the lower right and its polished edge flaring a single white line of reflected sun. Her green hair is pulled into a high ponytail that whips out sideways with the turn, strands lifting free at the temple; sweat at her hairline, brows drawn down, mouth open on an exhaled breath, eyes narrowed and fixed on the point where her blade passes — not at the camera. She wears a sleeveless white cotton kimono top tucked into deep indigo pleated hakama, the wide black obi cinched at her waist, the hakama hems flaring and snapping around her shins with the motion, the fabric creased hard at the hip where she has bent. Behind her, set deeper into the frame and softened by distance, the packed-earth yard opens toward a low wooden house: a raised plank veranda, paper-and-wood sliding screens standing half open, a weathered post and a stone step at its edge, the whole thing one muted warm brown under the morning sun. The father stands at the right of frame on the veranda edge, arms crossed over his chest in a grey linen yukata bound with a dark brown sash, chin level, watching his daughter with a steady appraising look; his weight rests on his back foot against the post, and his shadow falls long and thin across the veranda planks toward the camera. Lower and to the left of him, the little brother sits cross-legged on the ground at the yard's edge in a small light-blue yukata with a plain white cotton obi, hands braced on his knees, leaning slightly forward, eyes round and wide and locked on his sister's sword, mouth open in a small delighted gasp. Both of them look at her; she looks at her blade. The sun is low and to the left, a clear early-morning light: it rakes across the yard from screen left, strikes the left side of her face and arms and the flat of the blade, leaves the right side of her body in cool blue shadow, and throws every shadow — hers, the father's, the child's — long and hard-edged to the right across the dirt. A faint haze hangs over the far roofline where the low sun catches dust kicked up from her footwork, and a few loose straws and pebbles hang suspended near her heel. Palette: young green, indigo, warm dry earth, and the cold white of morning sun, nothing else admitted. Crisp cel linework with clean flat colour and hard-edged shadow shapes; bright, disciplined, electric with morning energy.
