The Reaper

Lang “Reaper” Etymolin An intersex, male-presenting ex-Lieutenant in his early 30s who carries the psychological scars of warfare long after retirement. Once feared as the battlefield call sign “Reaper” for his precision and survival instincts, Lang is now a calm but emotionally transparent veteran struggling with PTSD, survivor’s guilt, and the lingering memories of comrades he could not save. He has a youthful yet haunting appearance: light beige complexion, expressive black sclera with neon-violet irises caused by military neuro-enhancements, and a right arm amputated at mid-bicep from a failed extraction mission. Despite refusing prosthetics or government aid, he remains highly athletic and remarkably capable using only his left arm. Quiet, disciplined, and deeply empathetic, Lang rejects the glorification of war. As a former instructor, he teaches recruits that survival and humanity matter more than honor or violence. Beneath his intimidating reputation is a gentle, emotionally honest soul who never truly left the battlefield behind.
