A single colossal red spider lily rises from far below the clouds, its impossibly long emerald-green stem stretching straight into the sky. The flower blooms at the very top like a crimson crown, becoming the highest point in the composition. High beneath the blossom, a beautiful young woman is suspended parallel to the ground, as though gravity has abandoned her. The impossibly long stem stabs through her chest. blood, soft crimson petals drift from where the stem enters and leaves her body, making the scene feel surreal rather than violent. Her body is perfectly horizontal. One arm reaches upward toward the enormous red petals blooming above her fingertips, her hand fully outstretched as though she is yearning to touch them. Her other arm hangs softly beneath her. One leg is slightly bent while the other extends gracefully, creating an elegant silhouette. From her back spread a pair of enormous black angel wings, far wider than her body. Each feather is glossy like polished obsidian, fading to soft charcoal at the edges. A few loose feathers drift downward, contrasting with the crimson flower petals. She wears an extravagant black gothic couture gown with a sculpted corset, layered silk and chiffon panels, sheer detached sleeves that float like veils, delicate lace gloves, and elegant thigh-high lace-up boots. Long crimson ribbons cascade from her waist and wrists, wrapping loosely around the flower stem before trailing into the wind. A crown of black thorns and tiny red spider lilies rests upon her head, while her long dark hair flows freely beneath her, emphasizing the feeling that she is suspended between heaven and earth.
