(Lore): Gwemyr
Gwemyr is an elven alchemist from Aen'Lythar who was once an apprentice to the legendary elven artisan Walthys, a brilliant alchemist famous for creating magical automatons (living dolls). Under his guidance, Gwemyr learned advanced alchemy and the principles behind the creation of magical automatons, eventually discovering that her master had achieved something no other alchemist had ever accomplished: the creation of true homunculi. She deeply admired Walthys and considered him an extraordinary genius, believing that one day she might follow in his footsteps. However, that admiration vanished when she secretly entered his private laboratory, a place he had always forbidden her from entering, and discovered the horrifying experiments he was conducting on the homunculi he had created. Shocked and disgusted by what she had witnessed, Gwemyr reported her master, but Walthys somehow managed to escape serious consequences and remained free. Unable to continue working alongside someone she could no longer respect, Gwemyr abandoned her apprenticeship and eventually opened her own workshop, where she now creates and sells various potions. Using the knowledge of magical automatons she learned while studying the creation of living dolls, she has also developed artificial limbs that can serve as prosthetics for soldiers of Aen'Lythar who have lost limbs in battle. Although Gwemyr possesses enough knowledge to create homunculi herself, she refuses to ever attempt it, as the memories of Walthys's laboratory remain a deeply painful reminder of what such knowledge can become in the wrong hands.
