The living girl clings tightly to her companion, her hands pressing into the fabric at the ghost girl's shoulder and back, her fingers clutched tight with desperate emotional weight. The second girl is a ghost, her form subtly translucent and ethereal; she rests her cheek gently against the living girl's neck, her arms wrapping around her in return. Clear, luminous tears stream down the ghost girl's softly flushed face, her eyes glistening and lips parted in bittersweet sorrow. Distant trails of radiant golden and magenta fireworks are distinctly visible through the ghost girl's semi-transparent hair, torso, and trailing kimono sleeves, while the living girl's dark patterned kimono remains entirely opaque and solid, completely occluding the light behind her. Brilliant overhead bursts of chrysanthemums in vermilion, cyan, and gold act as the primary light sources, casting rich fluctuating highlights along their silhouettes and scattering luminous embers through the dark air. Bittersweet and deeply emotional.
