Giant Flesh-Eating Tadpole(?)

The Giant Flesh-Eating Tadpole is not a fish you can use in a cooking recipe. It is a quest item from Tadpole Terror, an Undercity fishing daily introduced during Cataclysm. According to the quest, some Forsaken apothecaries dumped their chemical waste into Stillwater Pond, producing mutant tadpoles that would eventually grow into enormous flesh-eating toads. The player is asked to retrieve them before that happens. The quest explicitly identifies these creatures as toad tadpoles. However, judging by the item icon, their enormous jaws, sharp teeth, and apparent lack of eyes raise several questions about their amphibian anatomy. Perhaps the Royal Apothecary Society is simply much better at biological engineering than waste management. Alternatively, perhaps Azerothian taxonomy operates under an entirely different set of evolutionary principles.
